Described as a reassuring, life-affirming colour, giving new hope for the new year, we thought that the colour “Greenery” being integrated into home décor might be just what the doctor ordered for a fabulous 2017 ahead! Here are some of Houzify’s favourite ideas for integrating this trendy colour into Indian homes!

Upholstery is a great way to try out a new colour. An integral part of the design of the space, and yet easily replaced if you change your mind or simply get bored. The green cushion covers in Aradhna Lanba’s living room on couches upholstered in green raw silk are rich and luxurious, further pushed by knick-knacks like the green Chinese vases!

We loved this bedroom in the home of Aradhna Lanba where the green in the upholstery is complimented by an ethnic wall hanging and a full painted wall, highlighted by hand-painted leaf motifs. Beautiful!

In contrast, the other bedroom design by Biome Environmental Solutions has just a touch of the bright colour, reflected on stark white curtains, through a stained glass window. Subtle, elegant and trendy!

A more bold way to incorporate a particular colour is in tiles on the floor. Unusual, and quite the commitment, this can work beautifully if done right, and these two designs by Biome Environmental Solutions and Fulcrum Studio got it bang on!

Kitchens are a great place to experiment with colour. This kitchen, done by Zac Interiors uses a bright green tile in the Pantone Greenery colour to brighten up an otherwise ordinary space! Kudos!

And then, of course, there’s greenery itself. In gentle touches, or in more obvious ones, incorporating the original source of the colour could add that missing touch to your city home! Read our feature on Indoor Greenery for more ideas!
